The Computer Recycler, by the computer works, has been in business since 1999, and with a recent move to a larger Cromwell location the company is now able to service the electronic recycling needs of the state. Originally, the company simply started computer recycling as an additional service to their computer repair service. Several years in to the process they are now able to offer recycling on all electronics and most appliances, even the items that most places can not take, such as TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners and MORE.
Not only is the service free for everyone, but it's what we call 110% compliant and 110% safe. What we mean by that is our standards of safety and compliance are well above regulated standards and the security of your data is one of our highest concerns. We are very involved in where our eWaste ends up, so no overseas dumping, toxins are processed by specialized and licensed centers, and every piece, down to the nuts and bolts, will be made in to reusable materials. There is no risk with your data when you utilize our services. Every component that even potential may hold your personal data is immediately erased, but also shredded prior to being processed through recycling channels.
