![]() | Wellspring emerged out of a sense of calling to be part of God’s healing ministry, both inside the church and out in the community, fulfilling Jesus’ own expressed manifesto in Luke 4 to heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free. We believe we are an important support to the pastoral care ministry of all our local churches. Our vision is to be a centre of professional excellence where people journey towards healing and wholeness. Our core values are that we are affordable, we can integrate a spiritual element into the counselling if requested, and we can work long term. We are committed to work with the bruised and the broken, the weak and the hurting, the lonely and the despairing, and we are very keen to remove the stigma around experiencing such feelings and around mental health problems in general. They are common to all of us, in fact 1 in 4 of us experience depression, and we are here to promote recovery. There are a number of real benefits to clients who use our service:
To fulfil the aim of being affordable, we ask clients to give a donation according to means, and in practice the amount being paid by clients is less than half of the true cost of providing our service. We are, therefore at a critical point financially. PLEASE HELP US MAKE THE SERVICE SUSTAINABLE 300 people giving us a regular donation of £3 a week or £15 a month through our Friends of Wellspring scheme would make us sustainable. Alternatively £100 a month from a church mission budget would help towards sustainability if sufficient numbers of churches were able to commit. We also run training courses in different aspects of pastoral care and mental health awareness and we would be happy to discuss how we might support your ministry in this way. |
