About The Show

First there was JAB Schoolies. Now there's The Brink.

The Brink is 3 hours of non-stop action packed adventure, full of high octane thrills and spills that will leave you begging for more!!!!....

...ok so that's a bit of a lie, but it got your attention didn't it? That's what we try and strive ourselves to achieve at The Brink, to grab your attention. And by your we're not just refering to you as a person, but you as a listener. Although you can be a person and a listener, but that's not the point. We want you as a listener to be connected with us and feel part of the show like we are your family. Think we're getting too soppy now? Hmm...yeah i think we might be...ok...i spose we better move on to the show introduction...

For too long the city of Hobart has missed out. It has been simply a place that event holders and organisers simply glance over briefly whilst staring at a map organising their event. Well not for much longer. Because we, the people of Hobart, have had enough. And everyone here at The Brink feels the pain. We feel the pain more than most. For we have taken on the role for the city and citizens of Hobart to change this. We have taken on the role of magnet (or whatever other term you wanna use) to attract the events to our beloved city and put us on the map as a must go destination for international events!

Added to this our magnetism for attracting the big name guests, and you really have no other choice in Hobart when it comes to a radio show to choose. Sure, commercial stations and shows may offer prizes, phone ins and more 'flash and bang', but really, for a show that's on once a week to achieve what we have, is pretty darn awesome. Where else have you heard F1 World Champions, Prime Ministers, Grammy Award winners, Academy Award Nominees and a Walkley Award winner on one show? Added to this Olympic Gold Medals, ARIA's and Logies, and you have one eclictic mix of Awesomness. And that essentially is the reason why we kick every other show in Hobart's butt. Actually no, in the WORLD!

There have been many incarnations of The Brink. Coming out of the Elizabeth College Schoolies Hour in 2004 the show blossomed into JAB Schoolies in 2005 before turning into The Brink in mid 2006. A switch to breakfast radio in 2007 and it remains one of Edge Radio's longest serving shows.

So does that sum it up enough for you? Or are you still sitting there thinking "what the hell is this show about?". Well if that's the case, tune in to Edge Radio 99.3FM on Fridays from 7am to listen. And if you don't live in Hobart, don't panic! Just go to
