Welcome to the home of The (NEW) Lewis Chart! The Lewis Chart is a personal, weekly chart that tracks the best of pop music in the past week. The chart consists of 25 spots, with #1 being the top spot. At the end of each month and year, there will be another chart that lists the biggest songs of that month or year. There are two charts: There is the Lewis Chart, and the Lewis Recurrents (songs older than a year) Chart Rules: Songs charting on the current Lewis Chart are current songs, either released as singles or from recently released albums. Single confirmation comes from either of these sources: Music Video Release Radio Release (confirmed by FQMB and/or AllAccess iTunes or Physical Release (international only) Points and Certification System: For every week a song is on the chart, they receive a certain amount of point, dependent on many important factors. Here is the structure: Weeks on the Chart: 2 points Position: 1-5 point scale (#1-5 = 5 points; #6-10 = 4 points; #11-15 = 3 points; #16-20 = 2 points, #21-25 = 1 points) #1 position: Additional 3 points #2 position: Additional 2 points Certification: Silver: 5 weeks on chart = 5 points Gold: 10 weeks on chart = 10 points Platinum: 15 weeks on chart = 15 points Diamond: 20 weeks on chart = 30 points THE LEWIS CHART (Week of April 6th, 2009) THIS WEEK'S #1: Poker Face - Lady GaGa
