You are pretty much a bad-ass when it comes to alchemy, and are working on it when it comes to fighting styles. You find that a fighting style helps you channel the energy that is required in alchemy, and as such you use that fighting style to your advantage. At each level up you get d8 + 1 + spirit to hp, (minimum of 5 hp per level), and you gain an additional 3 points to spend on skills. Choose one martial art fighting style when you take your first level in this class, you get + 1 to using that style, and it gives you a + 1 to alchemy once it has reached 5 ranks.
Alchemical Researcher Requires - at least level 7, most work in the lab, however some do end up researching out in the field. Field researchers typically are looking for new and interesting items that may enhance ones alchemical abilities, whereas lab researchers are trying to push the limits of alchemy to even further extremes. Military Alchemist Requires - at least level 8, 1 level in one of the other advanced Alchemist Classes, 10 ranks in alchemy, 4 ranks in advanced chemistry, and a d8 in spirit. Furthermore you have to pass a country's (this may not apply to your country of origin, in which case you would have to prove your loyalty to the nation that you are going to be working for by being a soldier for them for at least 2 levels) practical field test, and mental/physical review. As a Military Alchemist you have the rank of leutenant in the military. You are a bonified alchemist bad-ass. Your abilities as an alchemist are very strong, and now you work for the military as one of their alchemists. You might be working in one of their research parks, as a field agent, or even as an Alchemist Soldier. Researchers get very little freedom outside of the lab, they get to have a nice house and an expense account, but they do not get to go very far. There are very few exceptions to that rule. They may be called upon to become field agents from time to time, and in those cases they are usually looking for materials to work with in the lab. The nations with military alchemists occasionally have a very small group (usually less than 10) of field researchers that are always out and about. Requires 10 ranks in knowledge alchemical theory, and that you are a board certified alchemical researcher. at each level up you get d6 + 3 + spirit roll to hp, minimum of 5hp per level. At level up you gain an additional 3 points to spend on skills. Field Agents get a fairly nice expense account, but they do not get lodgings outside of the Alchemist Barracks. They may travel frequently, and report on findings around the nation. They often work on public works projects, such as building bridges and roads, and they get a decent amount of vacation time. In times of war, field agents will get called upon to build up various defensive positions around the nation, and often get moved inot Alchemist Soldier positions. As such field agents are usually very good with engineering as well as martial arts.
Requires 6 ranks in engineering at each level up you get d8 + 2 + spirit roll to hp, minimum of 5hp. At level up you gain an addition 2 points to spend on skills Alchemist Soldiers are fighting bad asses. They are usually well versed in various hand to hand combat techniques that they enhance using on the fly alchemy to create various weapons in the midst of combat. Some even harness the very elements to attack their foes. In any case, they are often stationed at military bases, and kept on very short leashes. Your freedom is limited in such a way that if a war were to come you would be easily put into combat where needed. Housing is provided for officers, and as such you would have access to some kind of housing solution beyond just the barracks.
