In April, the Second Saturday was Living History Day at the Hyde Street Pier, where the old ships are displayed and may be toured. What a day it was. The Reuters photographer took many shots, but the so-called best one of me was ignominious.... see below. 

 

We were "evacuated" by row boat to a rather small ship in the harbor. People took any possible boat and put it to service.

 

 

 I had just gotten my mismatched boot full of water, and tried to hop out of the water onto the edge of the rowboat. This didn't work quite as I imagined!
