Perumannor Vattakunnel Mathew and Marium had four sons and one daughter. They are

  • Thomas (My grandfather)
  • Kunjep
  • Mathan
  • Kunjeli

In AD 1904, Vattakunnel Mathew and Marium, with their children moved to Kanjirappally and bought the land of Antony Panthiruvelil.

In AD 1908, The eldest son of Vattakunnel Mathew (Thazhathu Panthiruvelil) Thomas (My grand father) married Thresiamma, daughter of Antony Panthiruvelil and Ealy (Madukkakkuzhy family).

Antony Panthiruvelil had following childrens

  • Thresiamma
  • Ealy
  • Marium
  • Annamma
  • Kunjappan
  • Kunjachan
Since Thomas married daughter of Antony Panthiruvelil and they bought the land of Panthiruvelil family, Vattakunnel family was being called as Thazhathu Panthiruvelil family and Vattakunnel family accepted that as their house name.

Thomas Mathew(eldest son of Vattakunnel Mathew), was 25 years old when he married Thresiamma Antony (daughter of Antony Panthiruvelil). He was a very good person and he was very kind to poor. He feared God and he was just in the eyes of God and men.
