All ABOUT ME!!

My son Christian, our dog Morey, and Me at Lava Island Falls

Hello! Let me introduce you to myself!

My name is Christina "Tina" Hawley. I was born a Buckeye, grew up as a Hoosier, and have spent most of my adult life in the Magnolia State. (Email me if you know what states these are for 5 extra points!) My son and I moved to Oregon in the summer of 2007 in pursuit of adventure and new terrain. We love the mild Oregon weather and change of seasons! We have two dogs Morey,  a 7lb toy fox terrier that loves to sing (yes he really does sing!) and Lilly, a 40lb lab/heeler mix that loves to play and swim in her swimming pool!  We love spending as much time as we can outside camping, hiking, bicycling, exploring and learning about nature.

My Philosophy

I strive to keep my classroom fun and adventurous!! I believe strongly in "hands-on" experience and feel direct experience enhances and stimulates learning. I am always striving to utilize new technology and new teaching methods to maximize my students learning potential. Therefore, we will be performing several experiments, working on several projects, and hopefully taking several field trips!!
