Thadra Petkus earned her B.A. in English as well as her M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction at Florida Atlantic University. She later won a scholarship from the English-Speaking Union to attend Oxford University in England, taking graduate courses in English Literature. An English teacher for over ten years, Thadra has taught 9th - 11th grade English as well as Adult Education ESOL. She has trained with the College Board in A.P. Literature, A.P. Language, and Vertical Teaming. Thadra has also written Adult ESOL curriculum for the Palm Beach County School Board. Thadra served as the Executive Director for a local tutoring center in Florida, where she mentored students who were preparing for college. She specializes in writing instruction and loves working individually with students to help them fulfill their potential. She is currently a freelance writer, high school mentor and private tutor.
