I am a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego.  My primary academic interest is in ethical theory and its application to issues of public concern.   

Recent activities:

In fall 2011, I spent a term at Oxford University to discuss my thesis research with Roger Crisp and Derek Parfit.

In summer 2011, I taught Contemporary Moral Issues (Phil 162).  Click here for the syllabus.
