Many thanks for your time, support and inspiring attitude for participate in the Walk-N-Pray for the tragedy Sherman bus crash victims that took place on the perimeter of Vietnamese Martyrs Church, September 6th, 2008. Your dedication and sunny personality made all the difference for our volunteer team, participants and supporters. We received many compliments and expressions of gratitude on your behalf. One participant noted, “It’s all about community coming together in time of difficulty that makes me feel a sense of belonging and comforting.” I think it’s safe to say that your presence had a generous impact on the success of the event. Overall, we raised about $25,000 after expenses and still waiting for more pledges being mail-in. We are going to use your gift toward immediate and emergency needs of these unfortunate victims such as funeral services, transferring victims from distant hospital back to Houston, or treatment of psychological and physical that victims and families are unable to afford. Of fifty five victims, five patients need to transfer back to Houston and several victims are require of psychological treatment due to overwhelming impact of the tragedy. Many victims have returned home and waiting for treatment but have hardship paying for treatment. Attorneys are doing their best effort to fight for insurance coverage but may take months and years before they receive any. Assure, your generosity contributions will be use to pay for costs and services those victims and families are unable to do so. Thanks so much for all you've done for the unfortunate victims of Sherman, TX bus crash! Please continue to pray for their well being and recover. We are still accepting pledges. All donations please make check out to: Missouri Victims / Walk-N-Pray and send to Vietnamese Martyrs Church, 10610 Kingspoint Road, Houston TX 77075.
