Artist’s Statement

 

     If there is a statement that I would feel qualified to make, it is that one is never too old to discover one’s passion. After teaching speech in the public school system for 33 years, art became that passion; that piece of me that I felt had been missing.

 

     My art is primarily abstract, with nature as a large influence on the colors I use. I generally work with acrylics but have also worked with watercolors and encaustic paint and enjoy experimenting with various materials creating paintings of mixed media and heavy texture.

 

      I have done several commissioned pieces based on a client's needs and, of course, budget, and I can provide a client with references concerning my art.

      Whether you are  looking for something for your home or business, I will be more than happy to work with you    It has been said that the journey is far better than the destination. I do hope you enjoy viewing the journey with me.
