Competition - International Year of Chemistry 2011. Entries are invited for an international competition for the best presentation by a student (from 14 years old to Ph.D. student) on the solutions which chemistry can provide in any area of society, and which can be addressed to any audience. Entries can be in a variety of formats (DVD, power-point, song, poster, photo-book, written document, etc.) and should be submitted electronically to the website by 15th October 2011. For details of the national and international stages, and submission of entries, see the website. For any queries, contact Professor David Cardin (d.j.cardin@rdg.ac.uk) How much chemistry do you know? How many European languages do you speak? Are you revising for a chemistry exam at second or third level and would like some practice? Are you thinking about how to demonstrate your knowledge of chemistry to an employer? Are you an employer wondering how to assess or train your new coworkers or potential coworkers? Are you an international student who has to demonstrate an ability to study chemistry in a language which is not your mother tongue? For all of these situations and more, the free testing service is available now. Did you know that the European Thematic Network in Chemistry (ECTN) which developed these tests, is the most successful of all the educational subject networks funded by the EU and now has its fifth three year programme. It has expanded to cover more than 140 universities and higher education institutes in Europe, including every member country which has any third level chemistry course. All content is funded by the European Union under the Lifelong Learning Programme. To download the flyer click here Download the Teachers' Presentation from 25th June 2010 here |
