Faction Quests: The Mages Guild

How to get in

The Mages Guild is the group of Mages in Cyrodil. Each hall (except the Bruma Hall) specialises in a school of magic. Below are what each hall specialises in:

Anvil               –          Guild Hall specialises in Restoration,

Skingrad          –         Guild Hall specialises in Destruction,

Chorrol            –         Guild Hall specialises in Conjuration,

Bruma             –          Guild Hall does not specialise,

Cheydinhal      –         Guild Hall specialises in Alteration,

Bravil              –          Guild Hall specialises in Illusion,

Leyawiin         –          Guild Hall specialises in Mysticism

The above towns all have Guild Halls, where you can sign up to join the Mages Guild with the Head of any Guild Hall. Each town’s Guild Hall except Bruma’s specialise in one school of Magic. Once you arrive in the Guild Hall, you can ask any member of the Guild there and they will direct you to the Head of Guild Hall. Once you join, you are a member of the Mages Guild. You can access any facilities in any of the Guild Halls, which include bartering of spells and alchemical items as well as soul gems and other magic related items, and recharging of enchanted items.
