Short Bio.

Welcome to my Homepage.

I work in the Biomedical Optics Research Laboratory at the Department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering at University College London (UCL). To date my research has spanned several different areas including biomedical optics, physiological measurement, computer and mathematical modeling, pattern recognition and signal processing. My work at UCL is mainly to do with applying near infrared light to investigate the human body.

In Oct 2008, I was awarded a Career Acceleration Fellowship form the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) to carry out a new research in the application of Acousto-Optic techniques in clinical monitoring.

I am also interested in developing learning technology. With my cardiologist colleagues, I co-authored a book accompanied by an interactive software to teach heart sound auscultation. The book won the 2009 British Medical Association Student Textbook Award and was highly commended in the cardiology category.
