Short curriculum vitae
Erlend Tvinnereim (Tenor) born in Bergen, Norway in 1981, completed his BA in the Spring of 2005 following studies at the Grieg Academy, Bergen and the Music Conservatoire in Trondheim respectively, where his teachers included Professors Kåre and Harald Bjørkøy. After time combining freelance work and private studies with the acknowledged Susanna Eken in Copenhagen, Denmark he moved to Switzerland were he is currently concluding his Concert Diploma at the Hochschule Music und Theater, Zürich with Professor Scot Weir. This present season 08/09 he is a member of the Young Artists Program at the Opera in Basel, Swizerland were he is to be heard in different productions such as Lulu, Des Dialogues des Carmelités, La Bohéme, Schaf - ein Kinderoper and Der Fliegende Holländer etc. He has also taken lessons and participated in Masterclasses with several renowned singers including Ileana Cotrubaş, Håkan Hagegård, Gwyn Hugh Jones, Hans Peter Blochwitz, Jill Feldmann, Anne Lise Berntsen and lied specialists like Hartmut Höll and Daniel Fueter. The last couple of years Erlend Tvinnereim has established himself as sought after consert singer, performing well-known church music pieces such as the St.John and St.Mattew Passions by Bach, Messiah and Theodora by Händel, Mozarts and J.M.Haydns` Requiem etc. He recently made his debut as Tamino in the Magic Flute by Mozart in a production by the operastudio in Biel, Switzerland and he sang the role of Peter Quint in Brittens "The Turn of the Screw" during the Festival der künste in Zürich, September-07. His wide repertoire, including lieder cycles, church music and opera/operette from different epoches, has given him numerous solistic appearances with several choruses, orchestras and different chamber musicians around Switzerland and Germany as of all the Scandinavian countries and he has also solistic appearances on norwegian and german national Tv and Radio broadcasting. |
