The date is approaching for Special Olympics Summer Games for Tennis to be held on Wednesday, May 16th at Hanscom Tennis Facility. Be at Hanscom at 5:00 p.m. Athletes are able to participate in two events: Singles, Doubles, Unified Doubles, or Skills.

Athletes are to practice one-on-one with their Unified partner these next few weeks. Parents, please feed balls to your athletes on your own as well. Have the athlete practice serves too. We all get better with repetition. J

Opening Ceremonies will be held at T D Ameritrade Park. We are invited to a Creighton vs. Wichita State baseball game. Line-up for Opening Ceremonies is at 5:00 p.m. Unified partners are invited too. Contact Tammy if your athlete/unified partner is interested in attending. We will meet at The Hilton (1001 Cass St.) at 4:30 to walk over as a group. Meet me outside at The Hilton’s circular drop off area for checking in to the hotel. Pick up your athlete at 9:00 p.m. in the same location. My cell # is 402-670-7277.

Closing Ceremonies is Saturday, May 19th from 6:00-9:00 at Creighton. Meet at the east entrance to the Peter Kiewit Fitness Center at 6:00. The dance will be held in the Kiewit Fitness Center. I would highly recommend attending Opening and Closing Ceremonies. We have had a lot of fun in previous years! :)

Omaha Tennis Buddies Summer Practices
Omaha Tennis Buddies summer practices will be held from June 6th – July 11th at Millard North High School from 6:30-7:30. No practice on July 4th. Today is our last Saturday practice for the summer. No organized practices in May except for the group going to Des Moines. It has been a joy working with everyone throughout the winter.
