tinyg.us

feeling lucky, faster.

tinyg.us is a quick way of linking to places on the Internet, using the power of Google's I'm Feeling Lucky feature.

Instead of typing your query into Google, searching, and copying the url, you can just type tinyg.us/query and the resulting url will automatically point to the first Google result for what you were searching for. This is particularly useful for sending links to other people, or for when you're linking to things from your blog.

For example, say someone asks you about the Internet flash phenomenon "All your base are belong to us." You would probably fire up Google, search for ["All your base"], click on the first result, copy the resulting url, and then paste it into your reply. That's too much work. Now, you can just type tinyg.us/all.your.base into your im/e-mail and fire it away. When your friend clicks the link, they'll automatically be directed to the first Google result for ["All your base"]. It's as easy as pie.

If your query is multiple words, use commas between the words for a normal query, e.g. tinyg.us/third,second,first for [third second first]. If you wanted a strict query, ["third second first"], use periods (tinyg.us/third.second.first) instead.
