In short, technology is a way of sustaining the school, the teacher, the student, and the community. As stated in the Arkansas Department of Education’s most recent Five-Year Technology Plan: “The infrastructure should enable the integration of technology into the curriculum and provide information access to the public.” This site was created for the "ABC's of Rural Education: Access, Being, Connecting, and Sustaining," a conference and clearinghouse of resources for educators in Arkansas's rural public schools. However, much of the information contained on this site will be useful to everyone: teachers in other states, parents, students, administrators, co-op staff, and partners in higher education.The links compiled here are sites that have been recommended by other educators and that have been extensively reviewed.
