In the 21st century, students should have the opportunity to access all of their learning resources and materials on-line on whatever internet enabled platform they wish to use, be it Mac/PC, mobile phone, PDA or games console. Because of this, many schools, colleges and university's have already invested in a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) - the most popular of which is currently Moodle. However, if your institution has not yet established a VLE, you can use Google Sites to easily build your own course pages for your students to access their materials from. Alternatively your students could use it to build their own site to co-ordinate or showcase a group project or demonstrate individual work, like an e-portfolio.
