In this section we'll look at some of the online services that you should take a look at above all others - these are sites that will reduce your workload and improve your productivity along with facilitating good collaboration between your students, colleagues and yourself!
Please note that many of these are Google applications, once you have made a Google account for one ' Google App' you can access all of the others using the same login details - you don't need to create a separate account for each Google service that you use.

- Countdown Timers - Project a 'countdown' timer in class so your students know how much time they have left to finish their work.
- Delicious.com - Share web favourites with your colleagues & students.
- Flickr.com - Upload and share your photos & videos online.
- Google Calendar - Publish a class calendar online so that parents and students are aware of important dates.
- Google Docs - Use Google docs instead of Microsoft Office to allow students to view your files on any web enabled platform.
- Google Reader - Use RSS feeds to bring resources to you.
- Google Sites - Put your learning resources online.
- Jing - Take annotated screen shots & record "How to" movies that show students how to use a piece of software or a web page.
- Podcasts - Record your lessons or demonstrations and send them to students.
- Twitter - A Microblogging platform that enables a real-time interaction between users, using different devices, technologies and applications.
- Wikis - Use these to co-ordinate projects or research between a group of people.
