How to use YouTube

    • Add background information about the video.
    • Create stories with multiple possibilities (viewers click to choose the next scene)
    • Link to related YouTube videos, channels, or search results from within a video
    • All of the above!
  • Google Audio Indexing - With this new service, you’ll be able to search for specific audio clips from various channels of YouTube videos.

For example, say you want to find a specific part of a Martin Luther King Jr. speech. Just type out some of the words and you’ll be directed to that part of the video, where he says what you want to hear.

Creating Playlists

  • Mix Tube  - Create and share audio playlists made from YouTube videos.  Very handy if you want to provide your students with a play list of videos.

  • YouTubeReloaded - This lets you create video playlists for youtube videos and then embed the resulting playlist in a web page/VLE/blog of your choosing.

Edit YouTube videos

These sites are great if you only want to link to/show your students part of a video on YouTube and don't want the hassle of manually finding the right bit each time you want to show it.  Both do the same thing, so which one you use is down to personal preference.
