Great search tips not mentioned:
  1. Use quotations to search an exact phrase for the best match.
  2. Search similar images using this tool: http://similar-images.googlelabs.com/
  3. Search through a news timeline
  4. Search public data by entering the search string as: [unemployment rate jefferson county]. A graph will appear to click on. Customize the data by adding or taking away data to compare, and copy the link to share. This works with Census data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
  5. Search in other countries by using for example "site:de green technology" (site: de means germany and green technology is what you are searching.) Use these country codes to search the web.
