EVERYONE was out shopping the bargains at this years Auction. And did we ever have a bunch of "Treasures to Trade". We thank everyone who donated their goodies. A special thanks to Jeane Smith, Myrna Porlier and Ina Oyler for the paintings these gals contributed for raffle drawings...I Know Buster, Shirley and Paul & Dianne were ESPECIALLY happy. Dennis & Els Chapman kept the auction moving along. To top it all off Suzanne and her crew fed a hungary bunch some great hamburgers and hot dogs and the Creme Puffs....YUMMY !!! It was a great success and thanks to Gloria & Dennis and all those who made this event come together....WELL DONE COMPADRES
Baby Shower
Cribbage just got more interesting...Some strange blonde woman burst into the Bar ,suggesting that one of the crib players was responsible for her "condition"... The very next week baby gifts were given to guess who??...
Boy...that kid sure reminds me of Romeo !!!

The Canadian flags were flying as we all joined in to sing "Oh Canada" and to top off the evening our local musicians provided GREAT music to dance by.. !! HAPPY NEW YEAR !!
Judy and her crew REALLY out did themselves . From the elaborate decorations to waiters and waitresses, steaks cooked to perfection and cherry tarts for dessert. No detail was overlooked. York, our "DJ" set the mood with a few slow tunes (to let the food settle) before setting us on our toes to dance in the New Year. At the stroke of midnight we popped the corks and dropped the balloons with hugs all around . 12-31-08
Christmas Karaoke Nite
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU...
to Harriet & Jay Burton for sharing their talents with us all. Everyone was in a festive mood and joined in the fun. We've got great singers in our Club and those that like to just join in. And of course...where there is music...there's dancing !! Plenty of good food and hot buttered rum kept us in the spirit.

Christmas Decorating Party
Santa's helpers were out in force decking the halls with boughs and bows. A few Christmas tunes kept us in a cheery mood and the weather hinted at winter just around the corner. Thank goodness Cindy mixed up a batch of hot buttered rum to keep us warm and glowing.

Happy 85th Delmar
Monday's Bar Nite drew a crowd celebrating Delmar Deiter's 85th birthday. Del shared with us pictures and stories of his years of aviation experiences and the fine collection of aircraft that he has built. AND... for his birthday...he's ordered yet another airplane !!! Way to go Del !! The ladies still love ya. 11-17
Aussie Nite
! G’day mate! was the greeting of the evening when Richard & Connie Williams and Jim & Chris Haldeman hosted a grand Outback feast. While shrimp and veggies were cooking on the " Barbie" we were entertained by some wonderful Aussie tunes and were introduced to some rather interesting Aussie phrases…"GO ON" ! Many thanks to “You little Rippers” the Williams, Haldemans, Gloria Conger, Donna Kartinen, Cindy & Cindi and many other mates that made this happen. The evening ended with a jovial round of “ Waltzing Matilda”and even a “drongo” ( dimwitted person) would say “ fair dinkum” ( of course I’m telling the truth). 11-13 Happy Halloween & Hamburger Cook-out
The club was full of goblins of all kinds and the candy baskets were overflowing. Ann Peay had her hands full giving out the treats with Millie keeping the candy flowing. Mark was the man of the day. He introduced the little ghouls to dunking for apples. What a hit !! Next year we need A LOT more apples. Our" one-eyed , one armed Captain Cook( Jerry Hale)" treated us to some mighty fine hamburgers and of course the Bar provided everyones favorite brew. Thanks to everyone for a great event. 10-31
