Shinty Club News! Teanassie and Cannich joined together to play on Saturday 16 May for the British Legion Shield, as Strathglass. They were very successful and won the shield.
The team went through the tournament undefeated winning all 8 games and conceding only 2 goals. In other words they were BRILLIANT!

Finlay Ogilvie (Tomnacross PS), (All aged 10 years and under) The Glen Albyn league has been played for annually for the last 3 years. It consists of small schools teams from Strathglass, Glenurquhart, Balnain, Boleskine and Invergarry. The league is held in Glenurquhart and is played on a round robin basis over 4 weeks with each team playing each other twice. Strathglass is made up from children from Teanassie and Cannich Bridge Primary Schools.

Strathglass and Glenurquhart put in 2 teams and A & B for the last 3 years, with the majority of the Strathglass Team coming from Teanassie Primary School. The winning team this year was Glenurquhart A and Strathglass A were the runners up!! Had our B team not beaten our A team on one occasion we would have been involved in a play off with Glenurquhart it was that close. Our B team was primary 5 and under Teanassie players mainly.
George Fraser (Coach for over 20 years) would like to take the opportunity to thank all the parents for having to cart children every Saturday morning for four weeks for an 9.30a.m. start. The children show great committment and we hope they have enjoyed taking part. |
Shinty Club
Runs on a Monday evening from 3.30pm- 5pm. From November - Easter, the Club is held in Kilmorack Hall and from Easter - July, the pupils play in the school field (weather and pitch permitting). Small School Football Tournament at Farr Wonderful team-play by Teanassie secured the Championship! Many congratulations and thanks to Alan McIntosh for all his hard work and commitment.The Football Club, which is kindly run by Alan McIntosh with Jonny Wotherspoon and Frank Gunn as helpers, takes place on Monday evenings, times as follows: 6pm - 7pm for P2, P3, P4
7pm - 8.30pm for P5, P6, P7 Club members pay £1 for each session which goes towards Football equipment.Tens Club This fund raising event is administered by Mrs Fordham on a voluntary basis. To date, she has raised over £3,000 towards School Funds and given out £3,000 in prize money. |
