Teanassie Juniors

Teanassie Eco School

We are currently working towards our Eco Bronze Award. Our targets at the moment are School Grounds, Litter and Rubbish and School Transport.

Recycling
We have two new blue bins! We can now recycle our:
  • Paper
  • Food and drink cans
  • Cardboard
  • Plastic bottles
The bins will be collected by Highland Council every 4 weeks.

Teanassie's Organic Garden
There has been fantastic enthusiasm and support for Teanassie's organic garden. Thank you very much to all those parents and staff who come along to help. Flourishing in the garden are onions, cabbages, strawberries, lettuces, potatoes, herbs and flowers.

Beach Guardian Project
Mr Cormack and P3-5 are involved in a new initiative which is designed to tie in with both their Sea topic and with Eco Schools.
They hope to involve the Moray Firth Partnership and other local partners to produce some rich learning experiences for the children and to create a legacy which goes beyond the duration of the topic.

We are so fortunate to have a resource like Aigas Field Centre on our doorstep. As we develop Eco Schools and a Curriculum for Excellence we hope to see the school take full advantage of this superb field centre.
