Welcome To Team Two! Homework Rule of Thumb for Parents: While homework is an important part a student's education, its important to keep the amount of work in perspective. Most of the time, homework will not be assigned for the weekend. Many homework assignments should take about 10-25 minutes, however, assessments may take more time. If your child seems to be struggling with an assignment, please have them work for no more than 30 minutes. Please sig n the top of the paper and the student will receive full credit for the amount of work done. Encourage your student to advocate for him or herself. If they are having trouble on a assignment, urge them to come to the teacher before homeroom starts in the morning so that we can work out a plan. If your student feels that more time is needed, particularly on assessments, it is important that your child come and see the teacher before the assignment is due so that we can look at a reasonable compromise. Checking your student's edline account, the team website, and agenda book, will help you stay informed of upcoming assignments and events. |
