10/20- Added 7 NEW Weekly Rides to Ride Calendar

Team SAFD had a good turnout at the August 28th City Managers Ride.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Fall is around the corner and the weather is finally cooling off. It's a great time to dust off the bikes and pump up those tires.
 There will be at least 1 ride posted on the calender most weeks. Soon the Salado Creek Greenway rides
will be replaced with different routes most weeks. If you have a favorite route please email it to the website.


Currently most rides are on Fire "A" shift
We need ride leaders to help organize and lead rides on Fire B and C shift days.
If you are you are willing to help out once a week, once a month or even
just occasionally, help is always appreciated.

About us:

We are firefighters and paramedics, active duty and retired, 

of the San Antonio Fire Department / 

San Antonio Professional Firefighters, IAFF local 624  

(and friends) who enjoy bicycling and attending cycling events.  

Join us for a ride.

For the last few years a number of Team SAFD's riders have participated in charity rides such as The American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure, MS150: Bike to the Beach and various other rides to raise awareness and funding for important causes. In 2008 Team SAFD was recognized as the top fundraiser in our teams category at Tour de Cure. As you can see in the picture above in 2008  the team also had a great turnout for the MS150 Bike to the Beach. When we are not riding Tour de Cure, MS150 or other large organized rides you can find small groups and individuals riding all over town. We ride because we enjoy the road, the trails and the camaraderie.
