With an engine no larger than that of a food blender, us and our little Nissan Micra will be taking on the 10,000 mile driving challenge known as the Mongolian Rally.
On the 19th July we will be leaving from London, tackling 2 continents, 5 mountain ranges, 11 countries and 2 deserts in order to arrive in Ulaan-Baatar, Mongolia, all in the name of adventure and charity.
We aim to raise £4,000 through this venture, going to a charity close to our hearts. The money raised will go to the Cambridge Mongolian Disaster appeal (CAMDA) who are helping some of the poorest nomadic herding communities in Mongolia, with widespread impact throughout the country. Their current work is focussing on livestock immunisation helping cope with famins in recent years. They are also active in providing grass cutting equipment, increasing productivity and easing the lives of thousands. Further information can be found at www.camda.org.uk
