Donna Goorian

Donna Goorian started riding at the age of three with Carolyn Knab, the founder of the OHJA.  She rode, trained and worked with other Cincinnati greats such as Jimmy Wood and Chili Rodgers.  They instilled in her the importance of old fashioned basics.

Donna has a talent for teaching the beginning student as well as the advanced competition rider.  She is hard to beat.  Her attention to detail, as well as her emphasis on fitness makes her a winner with both child and adult riders.

This philosophy of hard work, responsibility and determination has resulted in acheivements beyond the equestrian world, both academically and in life skills.

Her students have gone on to ride successfully on the teams of The University of Georgia, Tufts University and The College of Charleston.  Two have been team captains.

Donna is well liked and thought of by her former and present students of all ages.  She has a true compassion and love for horses, a wonderful talent for teaching and a safety record that is hard to beat.  Her ability to match a rider with a suitable horse has created many a safe and successful team.
