Conjuguemos

This is our homework and practice website!!!

For Spanish class you will be doing a lot of your homework online on the following web site:   http://conjuguemos.com  This site will allow you to log your practice for vocabulary, grammar, and verb conjugation. I will typically give you a week or so to get your online work done so that you can manage your time/computer access. Below is a breakdown of how you will earn your points using the Conjuguemos web site.

"verb" and "vocabulary" activities

  • You need to make at least 100 attempts.
  • You need to get at least 50% correct to earn credit.
  • If you get 50% correct then you'll earn 50% on your homework.
  • If you get 60% correct then you'll earn 60% on your homework.
  • If you get 70% correct (or higher) then you'll earn 100% on your homework.
  • You can click "view" at any time to see your percentage.
  • When you're satisfied with your percentage AND have made at least 100 attempts, you can click "submit" to send me your score.
  • You can click "submit" at any time to send what you've done so far. So, if you need to break up your practice into chunks, that's fine.
  • You can see your scores for each activities by clicking on "practice zone gradebook".
  • If, for example, you make 50 attempts and get a score of 40, you can come back later and do another 50 (and this time get at least 30 of those correct).
  • If you make 100 attempts and you DON'T like your score, you may try again as many times as you like until you earn the best score you can. So, as long as you work hard and keep trying, you can get 100% credit on your homework every time! And we'll both know that you're doing it right!

"grammar" activities

  • Unlike the "verb" and "vocabulary" activities, these have a set number of questions (which means you don't have to keep going and going and going...)
  • The same rules hold true for what scores
  • If you get 50% correct then you'll earn 50% on your homework.
  • If you get 60% correct then you'll earn 60% on your homework.
  • If you get 70% correct (or higher) then you'll earn 100% on your homework.
  • You can see your scores for each activities by clicking on "practice zone gradebook".
  • If you don't like your score you can retry the activity as many times as you like until you earn the score you like.

STUDENT ZONE/PRACTICE ZONE

  • Once you click on "STUDENT ZONE" you should be in the "PRACTICE ZONE" area, which lets you practice for class.
  • Click on any one of the activities for class.
  • Anything labeled with "vocabulary" in it should let you do crosswords, fill-ins, hangman, memory, or word search. Try them all, and don't worry about the one that says "graded activity" as this is all just for practice.
  • Once you are in an activity, you can click the "Start" button and from there just use Tab to move between blanks and Enter to check if you are correct. If you are incorrect, the correct answer with pop up.
  • Click on the "Explain accents" button to see how to do á é í ó ú ñ ¿ ¡
  • When you want to try another activity, just go back to "STUDENT ZONE" or use the pull-down menu at the top.
  • Note:  when doing verb activities, you might want to click the "All but vosotros" option below the activity box so that you don't have to do that form (it's only used in Spain).
