Introduction
This
user guide is for ping pong enthusiasts like yourself wanting to
register the easy, accurate way to pingpong tournaments managed by the
Table Tennis Tournament system.
Summary- Select the correct tournament from the drop-down list box, and click Select This button.
- Select Registration menu and choose On-Line sub-menu.
- Enter
the name of the player in LAST, First format. While the name is being
typed in, a suggest box will pop up to limit selection. Use the mouse
to select the name, then click Player Registration button. If the name
does not show up because of a new player, contact the organizer.
- Check
the desired events that are eligible for the player (ineligible events
will be disabled for checking). Mousing over the disabled events will
popup a box explaining the reason(s) why the event is not eligible.
- Ensure desired events are checked, and partner names entered if Doubles or Team event.
- Fill
in email address, which will receive a notification email carrying a
special passcode. This special passcode must be entered in a later
step.
- Click the Submit Registration button.
- Check email for an email sent by the system that will carry the aforementioned special passcode.
- Select Registration menu and choose Verification sub-menu.
- Fill in email address again, and the special passcode.
- Click Verify My Registration button.
Frequently Asked Questions- Can I change my registration?
Yes.
Just revisit the online registration system and go through another
registration. Your previous registered events will be shown, and you
can check/un-check any of the eligible events available to you. BE
AWARE that any re-submits must be verified with the passcode email to
you.
- Why can't I enter an event for my age?
Most likely,
the reason is that CTTA does not have the right birth year for you.
You can visit http://ttcan.ca, and find your record, and check the
birth year associated with your record. If the birth year is 1901,
that means CTTA does not have your birth year at all. Regardless how
it is incorrect, contact the Ratings Chair of your respective province
to have it corrected. In the meantime, let the online registration
support (email address in main page) to have it temporarily corrected
for your registration.
- Why am I being sent an email to verify?
That is because you had not verified your latest registration, be it the initial registration or a change of registration.
Every time you use online registration to register a player or change a
player's entries, you MUST verify that particular registration by
entering the passcode sent in an email to the email addressed used for
registration. Otherwise, that particular registration will be voided
after the online registration deadline. If that is the only
registration for the player, the player will effectively be canceled.
If that is a change in registration for the player, the player's
entries will be reverted to the last verified registration.
- Will I get a confirmation email?
Yes, after the online registration deadline has passed.
- How do I know what my registration status is?
After
the deadline, there will be an extra menu item "Reports" where you can
choose "Registration" sub menu; enter your partial name; search;
browser for your final registration details.
