Stingray GEAR

 The Stingray Colors!

Join the Stingray tradition and wear a black and red suit this season.

PURCHASING YOUR SUITS:
Our TEAM SUIT this season is the Dolfin Chlorban Grafika.  The suit is 100% polyester, fully-lined, and reversible. Competitive suits, jammers, and racers will be available for purchase at Try-Its, online (info forthcoming), and by phone order from our vendor, Aquatic Adventures Outfitters in Hilliard. We do recommend that children also have a good practice suit to use during the week.

OTHER SUIT OPTIONS:
Swimmers can also wear a suit of their choice; however, girls must wear one-piece suits with a good fit to practice and at meets. One-piece "fashion" suits with low necklines and/or spaghetti straps are not recommended as they can interfere with swimming and cause drag. Many area stores sell black and red competition suits with similar designs that work well with our colors (see photo of the electric rays, top right).  The children love to have competition suits for the meets to build our team spirit!

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED?

  • Swimming caps are recommended for all children as they help with speed and comfort during the race -- and it helps us to figure out which Stingray is winning at meets!  We will have caps for sale from the team this summer so wait to get your official cap!
  • Goggles are a must for practice and swim meets.  Any kind of goggle that fits the face well is fine for competition.  Most companies also make youth goggles -- so look for those for your 10 and unders!
SPIRITWEAR
We will select some spiritwear items this season in May.

THE TEAM STINGRAY TEE!

Each year we design a new t-shirt with our team that incorporates the stingray artwork of all our swimmers.  Parents and children wear the shirts to meets and in the annual 4th of july parade to show our team spirit.
