Welcome to The Bishop's Stortford High School (TBSHS) Parent Teacher & Friends Association (PTFA) web page. The PTFA is a charitable organisation consisting of a small group of people who take an active part in the life of the school.

The PTFA help to raise much needed funds for the school by organising various social events throughout the year, introducing the TBSHS Privilege Card, running coach and theatre trips as well as putting on discos for the pupils, running raffles and stalls at school events and a host of other fund-raising initiatives.  The PTFA provide refreshments at many school functions and events.

Each year the PTFA seek to help many departments within the school by providing financial assistance to enhance the education of pupils of all ages and abilities within the school.  The PTFA helps fund the school minibuses, computer equipment, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, books, recording and microphone apparatus as well as many other requests from departments.  The PTFA also provides a Pupil Hardship Fund; parents/guardians with insufficient funds for school trips and excursions may apply to the Pupil Hardship Fund for assistance.

The PTFA Trustees meet once a month during the school year. If you would like to help out occasionally then please feel free to come along to any of our meetings (dates of which are on the school calendar). We are a small group of volunteers and are keen to expand, enabling us to do more for the school and would be grateful for both new members and help.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any suggestions for future events or with ideas for improving what we already do.

If you would like to get in touch with us for further information on the PTFA or with any suggestions, please contact Lynn Law, PTFA Vice Chair at lynn.law@tbshs.org

Please - your support is vital if we are to continue to donate money to the school for items that will help your child.
