Band: Al is a proud member of the UCMB, the organization that made him want him to become a Husky. He is in the UConn Drumline where he currently plays first bass and goes by the nickname, WALL-E. Sorority: Al went through in Fall 2010 with the amazing Beta Psi class. He is very happy to be a member of The Green Military Family. Jennifer Beaty  Town, ST Ensembles Big Sister: Lauren Saalmuller Little Sister: History Chair School: Band: Sorority: Kevin Behrens  Senior Granby, CT UCMB, Pep Band kevin.behrens@uconn.edu Big Sister: Alysha Martin Little Sister Music Chair School: Kevin is an Environmental Science Major with an unknown graduation date because I switched majors. Band: Kevin has been playing saxophone for 12 years and has learned many other instruments in his spare time. A member of the UCMB and the pep band, he enjoys music more than the average person. Sorority: Kevin is member of dolphins eating nachos and drinking hot chocolate on a snowy day in their underwater factory which makes kitkats family. This is a new development off of the Blue Camo military branch of the Cool Family. He went through in the Fall of 2010 with the awesome psuper psis. Adam Mil-Homens  Rocky Hill, CT Service Chair School: I'm a 5th semester pre-pharm major at the University of Connecticut. Band: I played on the cymbal line my freshman year for the UCMB and now I play bass 4 in the UCMB and in the winter line. Casey Smolka  Junior Groton, MA Treasurer School: Casey began college as an engineering major, but has recently changed to mathematics because math is awesome, and not because he failed engineering or anything like that. Band: Casey is a proud member of the UCMB Baritones, the ballsiest section in the band, and has been tearing it up as a member of pep band for two years. He didn't march in high school, but is loving performing in front of thousands of people. Sorority: Casey joined Tau Beta Sigma as a member of the Beta Psi class, and could not be happier to be a member of the Bunny family! Bunny pound! Rebecca VanderLeest  Junior UCMB, Pep Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band Big Sister: Mike Croweak Kate Vezza  Senior Monrovia, MD Sisterhood Chair School: I am a Pathobiology Major and am applying to veterinary schools for the 2012-2013 school year. Band: Fall 2011 will be my 4th and final season with the UCMB and my second season as one of the colorguard section leaders. It will be my 8th year in a marching ensemble. This semester is also my third season with the UConn Winterguard and 5th winterguard season overall. I love to dance and spin flag and rifle. Sorority: Although I have just become a Sister, I am excited and optimistic about all of the opportunities I will have to serve my favorite UConn ensembles:-) |
