Technology Links Great Science Links

Welcome to the Northwest Georgia Science Education Partnership. The purpose of this project is to improve the content knowledge and instructional practices of our cohort teachers in order to increase the science achievement of our students. Specifically, the project will provide teachers with key science content, necessary materials, and current "best-practice" teaching strategies that emphasize a hands-on, technology enhanced approach to teaching and learning. Through a series of professional development institutes, teachers will develop and implement inquiry-based lessons and units that are experiential in nature and aligned with the new Georgia Performance Standards. By giving our teachers (and our students) time to imagine, think, and explore, we can build both their comprehension and appreciation of the world around us.
