Unique Southern Tatting

Tatting has been my passion for many years.
I am a member of the South Carolina Artisans Center in
Walterboro, SC, where my work is on display.
I would like to share some of my tatting with you.
You can see more of my work in the Gallery or click on any of the items
in the menu on the left.

Valentines

December 2010
This December was the season of butterflies.
I began with this one.

Then I decided to make it without the picots.

Then I tried a different Celtic-type design.

I was really enjoying making these when I made a mistake.
Serendipity! A new design was created.

Here's my little Christmas stocking that I made.

The Christmas tree this year was loaded with red butterflies.
I counted them when I took the tree down. There were sixty-six!

Now it's time to concentrate on St. Patrick's Day tatting.

"Shamrock Bookmark"

"Double the Fun Shamrock"  Bookmark

Valentine's Day was almost upon us, and I had not created anything "hearty."
Here's a new design:

Valentine Bookmark

Valentine's Day has arrived.

A slightly different design in Pink

 "Snowflake Doily"

This little doily is only about 5 1/2 inches, but it makes a cute table accent.

I liked it so much that I made another in Christmas colors.

"Clever Clover Bookmark"

I just finished designing this bookmark.
It is about 11 inches long an about 1 1/2
inches wide. It took me a few tries to get
it to work out the way I wanted it to, but it's
relatively easy to do and fun to make.
