Inspiration Pics

These next three are photos of a multi-million dollar home for sale in The Hamptons.  There aren't words to describe how deeply I love this space.  I've left the photos large so you can really see the room.  Check out Sotheby's Real Estate when you're looking for the homes of the rich & famous.

Chick flick lovers might recognize this as Cameron Diaz' living room from The Holiday.

The library doesn't get very much sun, so rather than trying to fake it, I think I want to embrace it and do a deep color on the walls with a gentlemen's club feel to the room.  I'm tossing around the idea of a doing a deep grayish brown, a la the second pic from House Beautiful.  The color is BM North Creek Brown.

I really want a formal dining room that's actually formal and dressy and elegant.  We had one growing up and it felt special just walking into the room.  We know gray's hot right now, so here's one place I like it.  This photo is from willowdecor.blogspot from Jane Showers & Associates interior design.

This DR is from designer Gerrie Bremmerman on the blog Things That Inspire.

If I had to choose one designer to do my entire house, it would be Max and Company from Phoebe Howard.  They do modern-yet-classic so well.

If I can convince DH he doesn't need the world's largest black leather reclining monstrosity with cup holder, this is my inspiration for his man cave.  Gutsy, huh?  A man room with style?  Let's see how far I get! lol  Check out our sofa below - a redo of a truly hideous '70s number - doesn't it look exactly like the insp sofa?  Now all I need are streamlined recliners to see if DH and I can meet in the middle on the moving furniture bit lol  Insp pic from ferretandhound.com.

This photo is from a 2005 issue of House Beautiful.  I found it on a blog somewhere.  Out of the dozens of white kitchen insp pics I have, this is really the one I love the most.

I adore this bedroom from Cooking Light (yes, Cooking Light, who knew?).  The wall color is SW Warm Stone.  How pretty is that accent chair?  The nailheads and the fabric totally make that chair.
