They say a name is much more then a tag a mere call sign.

To some it's merely an identity, to others it defines who they are and a link from the past to the present. Our name defines us gives us a meaning of who we are and who we are meant to be. 

It's our parents hope that we grow up to be  

Some may question that statements, but in all earnest did not God himself named his son Jesus, the One that would save us all from eternal death? and again when naming of John the baptist by the angel of God. 

It's my sincere believe that our names, given at birth best describes our personality of who we are to be and who we are at the very best.

Given this opportunity it's my heart felt desire to thank my grand uncle for the name he has given to me ~ Kong Oon 光运 ( Bright Cloud).

It's a great pleasure being born under the Chan 陳family. Its's my dream to document the History of Chan Clan in this website, it's achievements and to map out the very best i can its family tree, starting from my own. In hope this would be the link of the present to the past. 

It's also my hope to document and present the legacy of the Chan ancestors through legends, stories and achievement of my ancestors. In hope this would inspire the future generation to be all the best they can be, in remembrance of our great ancestors.
