Workshop location: Tolstoy Foundation, Valley Cottage, New York.
CJ’s New York workshops benefit the Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program; see www.HudsonValleyVisitingPets.com.
The Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program is a non-profit Animal Assisted Therapy program in which volunteers and their calm, friendly dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and other pets visit hospitals, schools, nursing homes, libraries, adult day programs, and other facilities. CJ and Visiting Pet Program director Dolores Schaub founded the organization in 1994. CJ and her first therapy dog, Samantha, a black Labrador Retriever, made over 500 visits to facilities in Rockland County, NY, and Bergen County, NJ. Her second therapy dog, Chloe, is also a black Lab. In all of her EFT workshops, CJ uses therapy pets registered with the program to demonstrate how to apply EFT to animals. In some workshops, people who were afraid of dogs overcame their fears with EFT, right in the classroom. CJ is an Animal Assisted Therapy Training Instructor, the author of The Encyclopedia of Natural Pet Care (McGraw-Hill) and Natural Remedies for Dogs and Cats (Random House), and a frequent contributor to The Whole Dog Journal (www.whole-dog-journal.com). She is also a certified Sidereus Energy Healer For Animals.
What You'll Learn in CJ's EFT Workshops
Since 2002, CJ has taught workshops that train EFT practitioners and students. These workshops focus on techniques that help EFT users and practitioners at all levels of experience reach their goals quickly, efficiently, and with lasting results. They focus on "The Art of Delivery," a term that EFT founder Gary Craig uses to describe the incorporation of tools that improve EFT's Basic Recipe. Learn the fastest and most effective ways to apply EFT for improved finances, life, health, career, relationships, and everything else!
For several years, CJ collaborated with Gary Craig on a series of articles, reports, and books about EFT, including EFT for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, EFT for Back Pain, EFT for Weight Loss, EFT for Sports Performance, and EFT for Golf, all published by Energy Psychology Press.
As CJ explains, “Editing these books has given me a wonderful opportunity to review not only Gary's approach to common problems but protocols developed by EFT practitioners, instructors, students, and users of every description. These are powerful refinements. Our workshops feature the best of these new developments while remaining faithful to Gary's approach to EFT."
CJ is one of the few EFT practitioners to complete Gary Craig's foundational and advanced level certifications by examination (EFTCert-I and EFTCert-II).
In all of her workshops, students apply EFT to their own challenges and issues as well as to those of others, including friends, family members, and individuals who volunteer to be worked with onstage. All participants receive extensive handouts and follow-up memos.
The following Level 1, 2, and 3 EFT workshops are approved by the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques (www.aamet.org) and are prerequisites for that organization’s Level 2 EFT Practitioner and Level 3 EFT Practitioner certifications. EFT students and practitioners apply for AAMET credentials by attending workshops, taking an examination, documenting one-on-one practice sessions with a variety of people and issues, submitting detailed case studies, and participating in mentoring sessions with their instructor. All of the workshops are open to auditors, and there is no prerequisite for auditing.

CJ's Credentials
CJ is one of the few EFT practitioners worldwide to complete both of EFT founder Gary Craig’s certification examinations (EFTCert-II and EFTCert-I) prior to his retirement.
In October 2011, CJ completed the new and challenging ACAP-EFT (Advanced Practitioner Certification) from ACEP, the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology, www.energypsych.org. This program, administered by Gary Craig's daughter, Tina, is a continuation of the EFTCert-I and EFTCert-II certifications, which closed at Gary's retirement. It is the only certification program Gary Craig endorses.
Her other EFT certifications by examination are the EFT-CC (Certificate of Completion) and EFT-ADV (Advanced Certificate of Completion) from www.EFTCertificate.com.
She is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques (www.aamet.org) and the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (www.energypsych.org).
In addition to her EFT credentials, CJ is certified as an Energy Healer for Animals by the Sidereus Foundation, London (www.sidereus.org).
In 1994, CJ and Dolores Schaub founded the Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program (www.HudsonValleyVisitingPets.com). Known for its high standards in training, screening, and testing dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and other domestic animals and their human partners for Animal Assisted Therapy and related activities, the Hudson Valley Visiting Pet Program provides companionship and therapeutic visits to those in nursing homes, assisted living homes, schools, libraries, juvenile detention homes, adult day programs, and other facilities in Rockland County, New York; Orange County, New York; and Bergen County, New Jersey.
CJ and her first therapy dog, Samantha (a black Labrador Retriever) made over 500 visits as members of the program. Chloe, her second therapy dog and also a black Lab, enjoys working with children. In Montana, where they have lived for two years, they are active in the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program. Twice a week, Chloe is read to by third graders in two Helena area schools. For information about the R.E.A.D. program, visit http://www.therapyanimals.org/R.E.A.D.html.
