In Africa, there are millions of orphans due to AIDS.  This June, our family will be heading out with a team from our church, Westlight Community to bring the light of Jesus to a small rural village in Eastern Kenya.  The Kamba tribe lives in the village of Kakuyuni where we are helping Heavenly Treasure's efforts to build and minister through the Kamba Care Center. 

In this small village there are 500 orphans due to AIDS.  They are hungry for so much that we take for granted - food, education, jobs, God's word.  We hope to share God's love in tangible ways....

* Food Relief - developing ways to raise goats for milk as well as a livelihood, kitchen gardens to grow their own food, and emergency food relief (bags of their staple, maize)

* Dental Health - share toothbrushes to promote dental health

* Protection from Malaria - by providing mosquito nets

* Eyeglass Ministry - providing reading glasses so that the functional blind can see and be able to create their beautiful handicrafts and thus, provide a means of livelihood.

* Soccer Jerseys - to bring joy and love to the children and provide uniforms to teams at the schools and orphanages that have none. 

* Shoes for the orphans so that they will be able to attend school.
