The name Tango Avant-Garde honors the tradition of free expression that is essential to the spirit and practice of Argentine Tango. It’s invention  gave rise to individuality and innovations which are unique among the ballroom dances. The variety of rhythms and moods of the music, the precise interlocking legwork, and the complete freedom to improvise at any moment are signature features found only in Argentine Tango.
