The Tamworth Friendship Centre was formed in June 1993 as an Over 50's Club for local people. We are an independent group considering becoming a "Friend of Age UK".

Within the pages of this website we have detailed some of the activities, etc., that are available within the Tamworth Friendship Centre. Activities include a monthly meeting, first Wednesday of the month in the Carnegie Centre, rambling, 10pin Bowling, theatre visits, days out, holidays, skittles evenings and social lunches, with post activity lunches being a firm favourite.

It can be summed up by saying we 'specialise in socialising' in all our activities and whether you're a newcomer or an old timer, you'll always find a welcome at 'Tamworth Friendship Centre', be you single or a couple!

Why not "Give us a Try"?

We meet on the First Wednesday of the Month, February to November, unless otherwise detailed in the "What's On This Month" page, at 2pm in The Carnegie Centre, Corporation St., Tamworth. 

Membership Rates are a very reasonable £15 per year.  Membership of the club affords additional benefits such as reduced 10pin Bowling Fees, Rambles and Day trips amongst others.  A little price to pay for such benefits!  Why not try us out with a guest visit one month?  Just turn up at the door and introduce yourself as a guest and we'll look after you!
