January 29, 2010:
tallulah's opening is just around the corner! We have scheduled our first wine dinner for March 16th, with Kirk Venge of Venge Vineyards. In addition to his own label, Kirk is the consulting winemaker for Bacio Divino, B Cellars, Jax, Frazier, and MacCauley wines. In addition, Kirk has taken on tallulah's own little Syrah vineyard in St. Helena and our first release is expected sometime in 2011! Chef Jake Abraham will be working his magic, creating 5 courses to pair with Kirk's fabulous wines (Mr. Parker is a fan)! December 14, 2009:
tallulah's wine list is looking exceptional and Chef Jake Abraham is fine tuning our menu. Our staff training is underway and Robert Bath, Master Sommelier made his way to the chilly temperatures of Michigan from the Napa Valley to kick off our staff wine program. Three days of intensive wine training were followed by and afternoon and evening of wine and food pairings with our staff. The excitement is building! October 21, 2009:
tallulah wine bar and bistro is pleased to announce that Jake Abraham has joined the tallulah team as our Executive Chef! Jake brings with him fabulous experience from some of the Detroit metropolitan area's finest dining establishments including The Golden Mushroom, Shiraz, and Seldom Blues. Jake clearly understands the concept of tallulah, as well as new american cuisine, and we are thrilled that he will be playing an integral role in successfully sharing our vision with our guests.
