范詠喨 Yung-­Liang Yo-­yo Fann


范詠喨於1987 年出生在台灣省台北市。五歲開始學習小提琴, 師事陳在棟老師。 九歲考入台北市立古亭國小音樂班,師事江蕙君老師,並繼續與陳在棟老師學習,六年級時被選為樂團首席。 十二歲考入師大附中音樂班,旋即赴美留學就讀紐約曼哈頓音樂院先修班,師事曾耿元教授 (國際伊麗莎白小提琴比賽銀牌獎得主) , 以及寇蒂斯音樂院教授 Aaron Rosen 。 十七歲考入 茱利亞 音 樂院先修班 ,師事 Stefan Milenkovich(帕爾曼助理教授) , 以及芝加哥 DePaul University 教授 Ilya Kaler (柴可夫斯基、帕格尼尼 及西貝流士三大國際小提琴比賽首獎得主)。 十八歲考入 DePaulUniversity 音樂系, 繼續師事 IlyaKaler 教授。2009 年考入茱利亞音樂院碩士班, 師事 Masao Kawasaki教授。范詠喨贏得多項小提琴比賽,包年括德國KlosterSchontal 國際小提琴比賽 最佳奏鳴曲詮釋演奏獎 、 紐約Steinway Hall 的Regina Rubinoff Award比賽第一名、 紐約Great Neck Young Artist Competition第二名、曼哈頓音樂院先修班小提琴協奏曲比賽第一名、 台灣省全國國小組小提琴比賽第四名 、台北市國小組小提琴比賽第一名、 桃園區青少年小提琴比賽第一名、傑人盃青少年小提琴比賽第三名。 十四時與曼哈頓音樂院先修班愛樂管絃樂團合作, 主奏魏奧當第五號小提琴協奏曲。除了在音樂比賽有傑出的成果之外,范詠喨也很積極得參與世界有名的音樂營,包括:阿茲本音樂營(Aspen Music Festival) 、 歐柏林巴洛克演奏院音樂營 ﹝ Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute Festival﹞Summit音樂營和亞特蘭大音樂營﹝ Atlantic Music Festival) 近來,他在美國紐約和 田納西 演 出台灣慈善賑災音樂會,幫助台灣八八水災難民。

Yo-­‐yo Fann was accepted into the Gu-­‐Ting Conservatory in Taipei in 1995, where he was chosen to be the concertmaster and toured with the orchestra in 1998. At the time, he studied with Zai-­‐Dong Chen and Hui-­‐Jun Jiang. In 1999, Yo-­‐yo came to New York and began musical training at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-­‐College division under the tutelage of Keng-­‐Yuen Tseng, winner of the secong prize of the Elizabeth International Violin Competition, and Aaron Rosen, Professor at Curtis. In 2004, Yo-­‐yo joined the Juilliard School Pre-­‐college division, studying violin with Professor Stefan Milenkovich. In Spring 2009, He completed his undergraduate studies in Violin Performance at DePaul University, studying with Professor Ilya Kaler, who won gold medals in Tchaikovsky, Paganini, and Sibelius International Violin Competitions. In Fall 2009, Yo-­‐yo was accepted into the Juilliard School for Masters Program, studying under Professor Masao Kawasaki.



范增昌 先生 (JC Fann)

從初中起, 師範學院袁玉瑛教授即給予范先生正統的聲樂訓練,之後拜師於國立台灣師範大學的名男中音陳榮貴教授,學習歌劇演出。范先生創辦並指導許多合唱團:包括「宜蘭農工混聲合唱團」,「迪吉多電腦公司合唱團」,台北市「古亭社區合唱團」,以及「欣藝兒童合唱團」等。2000年,范先生獲聘為紐約「信願行佛教合唱團」指導教師。2009年, 獲得沛思(PACEUniversity)大學企業管理博士學位, 主攻企業管理及國際跨國企業管理。

JC Fann studied formal vocal training with Professor Yuan while he was a junior high school student. He further studied opera performing with National Taiwan Normal University baritone Professor Chen. Mr. Fann established, trained, and conducted many choruses such as I-Lan Industrial & Agricultural Vocational High School Choir, DEC Taiwan Plant Choir, Taipei Gu-Ting Community Choir, and Arts Children's Choir and so on. In 2000, Mr. Fann was appointed as a "Xing-Yuan-Xing Buddhism Chorus" conductor in New York. He received doctoral degree at the Lubin Business School of PACE University in 2009, majoring in Business Administration and International Business Management.



游秀貞 (Gretta You)

哥倫比亞大學教師學院音樂教育碩士學位。出生於台灣台北市。自幼學習鋼琴,畢業於國立台灣師範大學音樂系,主修鋼琴。除了鋼琴教學以外,也頻繁的在紐約地區做音樂演出活動行政。




Sarah Y Su Cachito

Sarah Y Su Cachito由團長Sarah Town 於2008年底成軍, 以演奏古巴傳統音樂形式為基礎, 並融合即 興元素於其 中,演奏曲目從十九世紀末發源的danzon舞曲到古巴當代流行的 拉丁 爵士 樂為主. 其 團員有Mark Chung (小提琴), Andy O'Neill(鼓組), George Cintron(拉丁 打擊樂 器), Vincent Hsu(電低音 大提琴). Sarah Y Su Cachito 固定於 La Pragunta Arts Café (1528 Amsterdam Avenue, New York, NY-­‐-­‐每月雙數週的禮拜三) 和 Indian Road Cafe (600 W. 218 th @ Indian Road --每月第三個週日)演出.

Born in Scotland, raised in Cleveland, seasoned in San Francisco, and currently residing in New York, Sarah's love of Latin music and dance has been fed by living and traveling throughout Latin America as well as participating in local Latin music and dance scenes on both coasts. Her classical piano background combined with years of capoeira, Brazilian percussion, and Cuban popular dance experience inform her diverse yet complementary interests. This project focuses on the rich heritage of Cuban dance music from the last two centuries. ¡Que viva! :)

徐崇育 Tsung-Yu (Vincent) Hsu

徐崇育先生出生於臺灣彰化, 在高雄長大. 2002年前往美國在紐約市立大學(CCNY)攻讀TESOL碩士學位;同時,也開始與多位大師(Cecil McBee, Victor Venegas, Andy Gonzales, JohnSchaeffer)學習低音大提琴。完成TESOL碩士學位後,2005年獲得CCNY大學爵士樂學程的錄取,而得與低音大提琴名師John Patitucci學習; 2008年畢業, 取得爵士樂演奏學位. 目前於紐約大學 (NYU)攻讀碩士學位,主修爵士樂演奏. 自2006年, 崇育開始於紐約地區演奏, 目前固定於St. Nicks Pub, La Pragunta, Indian Road Café和Caravan of Dream 演出. 有關任何徐崇育之表演資訊和近期活動請見 Vincent's Jazzicology on Facebook.

Tsung-Yu was born in Changhua, Taiwan, and grew up in Kaoushiung. He moved to New York in 2002 to pursue his masters degree in TESOL at The City College of The City University of New York (CCNY). Meanwhile, he began studying acoustic bass with masters including Cecil McBee,Victor Venegas, Andy González, and John Schaeffer(former Principal Bassist for the New York Philharmonic.) After receiving his masters degree, Tsung-Yu was accepted into the undergraduate jazz program at CCNY, where he studied with world-renowned bassist, John Patitucci. Tsung-Yu received his bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance from CCNY in 2008 and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Jazz Performance at NYU, where he studies with Brian Lynch, Rich Shemaria, MartinWind,Bill Drummond, Don Frieman and Ralph Alessi.




陳知薇 Greta Chih-Wei Chen

陳知薇出生於台灣台北市。自幼學習鋼琴與長笛,經常參與各類型音樂比賽及演出並獲獎。先後以優異成績畢業於高雄中學音樂班、國立台灣師範大學音樂系,2005年起擔任台北縣立福和國中專任音樂教師。2009年秋天獲得獎學金赴紐約,目前於哥倫比亞大學教師學院攻讀音樂教育碩士學位。



馬茗萱, 女高音

馬茗萱, 出身於台灣‧高雄。四歲的時候開始學琴,十二歲時開始歌唱生涯。畢業於台灣師範大學音樂系,主修聲樂,及中高等教師資格。於2009年,在紐約大學獲得表演碩士學位。在海外表演經驗包含北美,中國,義大利,匈牙利,法國,及瑞士。馬茗萱目前所當任的是聲樂和鋼琴教師,以及布魯克林音樂院,女高音Anna Skibinsky 所屬的聲樂伴奏。除了教學以外,也頻繁的在紐約地區做演出活動。包含大都會歌劇院協會歌劇學習中心,紐約口袋歌劇。

Ming Hsuan Ma, soprano/pianist is a native of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She began to study piano at age four, as well singing since twelve. She earned a B.F.A in Music at the National Taiwan Normal University as well as a high school Teacher Certificate of Music and a M.M. degree in Vocal Performance at NYU Steinhardt in 2009 She has performed throughout the U.S, China, Italy, Hungary, France, and Switzerland. Ms. Ma is currently working as a voice, piano instructor, and vocal coach of studio of soprano Anna Skibinsky in Conservatory of Brooklyn College .Besides teaching, she has been performing regularly in New York City, such as the Learning Center of the Metropolitan Opera Guild and Pocket Opera of New York.



李聿

多才多藝的傑出音樂家。李聿在Thomas Muraco, Margo Garrett, 以及Scott Rednour的指導下於曼哈頓音樂學院完成聲樂伴奏碩士學位。身為聲樂教練,李聿曾為Grand Opera in CT, Grandview Opera, Yard Opera, 台北歌劇團, Institute for Young Dramatic Voices..,等效力。另外,李聿也是位優秀的次女高音 ,曾演出Dorabella,Annio, 瑪莉修女, 以及Idamante。於2007年與國立台灣師範大學交響樂團巡迴美國西岸,擔任女中音獨唱,演出台灣作曲家的作品。自曼哈頓音樂學院畢業後,李聿以歌 手的身分甄選進入Sarasota Opera的Apprentice Program。指揮的部分,李聿曾數次擔任雄友合唱團的客席指揮。更於取得碩士學位後,被火速邀請擔任Grandview Opera的"波希米亞人"音樂總監。今年二月,李聿也以年輕指揮家的身分,受邀研習Riccardo Muti大師在大都會歌劇院Attila 的各種彩排。欲知更多有關李聿的資料,請參考yumuse.com

Yü Lee, A talented collaborative musician. Ms. Lee completed her masters degree in vocal accompanying under the guidance of Thomas Muraco, Margo Garrett and Scott Rednour in Manhattan School of Music. As a coach, Ms. Lee has worked with Grand Opera in CT, Grandview Opera, Yard Opera, Taipei Opera, Institute for Young Dramatic Voices, etc. Ms. Lee is also a gifted mezzo soprano. With Taipei Opera, Ms. Lee has performed, Dorabella, Annio, Mère Marie and Idamante. In 2007, Ms. Lee was the soloist touring with NTNU orchestra in California performing Formosa composition. After graduating from MSM, Ms. Lee got into Sarasota Opera Apprentice Program. As a conductor, Ms. Lee has been the music director for KHChorus for years. In 2008, Grandview Opera hired Ms. Lee to be the music director for La Bohème. Virginia Chang Chien

Virginia Chang Chien was born in Kaohsiung County, Taiwan and has been studying music since age of six.  She received her Bachelor degree in Music Performance from Fu-Jen University in Taiwan and was the principal oboe or co-principal oboe in the school Symphony Orchestra and performed various concerts in different groups. Currently she is studying Master degree in Music Performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music of Queens College under Professor Hamburt Lucarelli. Virginia has performed as one of the principal oboes in Queens College Orchestra and Queens College Chamber Orchestra in three different occasions.
In addition to all the oboe performances she also actively involves in activities in different areas. For example, in 2002, she was invited to produce an album ”The Mother’s Milk” for promoting Taiwanese localization movement. She served as one of recording planners, performer and publish coordinator. In 2003-04, she served as a host in a music program at a broadcasting station, TNT. In 2005, she cooperated with a Taiwanese folk song composer Chung Hong-Yuan, Vice President of Department of Economic Development of Taipei City, for an oboe quintet concert for promoting Taiwan culture.

In February and April 2009, Virginia performed as a principal oboe for the concert “An Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Gala Concert.” in Riverside Church and the concert “ Czech Masterwork My Vlast” in Bohemian National hall, respectively.  Recent and upcoming activities including: a winner in the Festival Eleazar de Carvalho competition in Brazil this July and is invited to play concerto next year; this fall, she will hold her graduation recital and concert tour in Sao Paulo, Brazil.



Josué Pagán

Josué Pagán started playing the guitar at the age of 15. He started taking classical guitar lessons at the age of 17. A few months later he was invited to compete for the Ralph Ritchie Memorial Music Scholarship which after winning , allowed to study under William Zito. Since then, he has performed at Carnegie Hall in three different occasions and performed as one of the soloists in the Chamber Music Live series at LeFrak Concert Hall. He is completing his classical guitar performance degree at the Aaron Copland School of Music studying under Prof. Zito, where he is the first classical guitarist to be allowed into the performance program in almost 20 years.
