 Resume

From a young age I was always interested in computers but only thought of it as a passing hobby. It wasn't until college that I realized that I really wanted to do this as a career. The rest, as they say, is history... well at least history in the making I hope.

I currently have a GPA of 3.49 but a major GPA of 3.79 and I'm only a semester away from graduating! I've grown to include about a year of solid Java experience, half a year of C# and Visual Studios experience, and about 3 month of C/C++ experience. There's also a dash of SQL programming, basic algorithm knowledge, and assembly language. I hope to learn more languages as I start to take on more projects. Some of other languages that are interesting to me are: PHP, Perl, and JavaScript.

The courses that I have taken at UH are:

ICS101: Tools for the Information Age
ICS111: Intro to Computer Science (Java)
ICS141: Discrete Math for Computer Science
ICS211: Intro to Computer Science II (Java)
ICS212: Program Structure (C/C++)
ICS241: Discrete Math for Computer Science II
ICS311: Algorithms
ICS312: Machine Level and Systems Programming (ASM)
ICS313: Programming Language Theory (Perl, LISP, Prolog)
ICS321: Data Storage and Retrieval (T-SQL)
ICS331: Logic Design and Microprocessors (ASM)
ICS413: Software Engineering 1
ICS414: Software Engineering 2
ICS491: Robotics (VPL)

I'm currently enrolled in ICS 419 (System Design) and ICS 425 (Security and Ethics) for the Spring Semester. I have to say that of all the classes I've taken in the college, I truly enjoy software engineering and hope to further my knowledge of coding, coding styles and standards, and well, to be honest, everything!

Outside of school, I also work as a IT technician at the College of Education under the guiding hand of IT Specialist Chris Stark. I've learned quite a but about the hardware aspect of computers through this job. I've learned to not only learn invaluable people skills but also everything from general troubleshooting to building personal servers and imaging computers. Although it is a part time job, I believe the experience I've gained here is invaluable.

Over the summer of 2008 I interned at Archinoetics. It's a small high-tech company based in Downtown Honolulu and I'm loved every minute of it. I had the chance to work with some of the smartest people I've ever met and work on projects that are definitely difficult but interesting at the same time. During my stay there I've work on neural networks, GIS shape files, and learned many new algorithms. It really has opened my eyes to what really out there in the world.
