Be the first to road test the new SysAid releases! Sign up for our SysAid Pathfinder Program today.

Starting SysAid version 6, SysAid is no longer with the firebird database.
If you are still using SysAid with the firebird database, you can migrate your database automatically.
The instructions on how to start this process can be found at: http://www.ilient.com/derby_migration.htm

In some cases, the migration will fail.
After some investigation, we found that usually when the process fail it will fail because SysAid will detect an existing derby database under \SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\db.

If the migration process has failed for you, please go to that location, and if you will have a "default" folder, please move it to another location or delete it (in case you are sure this is an empty database) then run the migration process again.

If you are having any other issues with the migration process, please contact our support by sending an email to helpdesk@ilient.com

Please note, If the migration process has failed, SysAid will be still accessible with the firebird database on version 5.6.11, in this case, contact our support and we will assist you with the migration process.

Best regards.
SysAid support team

    Version 5.06

5.0.06 was a minor version which included a few bug fixes intended to assist you with your daily work as IT professionals.

Prior to version 5.0, SysAid had almost no graphical elements in the user interface. In version 5.0, we have changed the interface completely. We believe it provides a much better overall experience and allows better focus and efficiency in your daily work.

However, the graphical elements caused the web browser in some cases to take a little longer drawing the web page on the client side.

We took your feedback most seriously, and our development team worked rapidly on optimizing the interface, so we can now offer improved performance even on slower machines.

More improvements we have made to SysAid version 5.0.06:

*SR search includes Unicode characters in languages.

*Firebird backup has been fixed and runs appropriately.

*Remote Control does not change the statues of the controlled asset, so it does not appear to be off line.

    Version 5.01

    New Features:

End User satisfaction Survey - This new feature enables you to keep in touch with the needs of your end users. SysAiders can now issue a survey when closing a service request, in order to track and measure the satisfaction of your end users by the services of your helpdesk.

DB Backup - You do not have to use external database to enjoy backup capabilities. SysAid supports backup in its internal databases. Now, you can use the database backup included in SysAid not only to backup your data but also to detect corrupted data.

News - important information can now be shared in a news format. SysAid can notify your administrators about special events and incidents, as well as share relevant information with your end users. Notifying your end-users about a common problem or upcoming event has never been easier.

vPro Support - vPro is a new chip by Intel that provides support for software and hardware inventory management, which allows remote access to your network, even to machines that are turned off. Now, if you have vPro chip installed on your network assets, you can use SysAid to control your network even when you are not in the office. To learn more about Intel vPro go to: http://www.intel.com/business/vpro/

New Remote Control Options- Now you have the option to use one of the following alternative remote control tools with SysAid: Remote Desktop Connection and Ultra VNC Viewer. In addition your remote sessions will be accelerated and improved using Mirror Driver.

Translation mechanism has been improved and now uses Download/Upload options.
