Visitors Coming by Plane


Tweed New Haven Airport is 10 minutes from the Yale campus by car or taxi. There is frequent limousine service from other major airports.


Visitors Coming by Train

You can take the train to the New Haven Union Station or the State St. Station. Taxis are readily available outside the train station. Take a taxi to 100 Wall Street. To call a cab back to the train station, call 203-777-7777.

Visitors Coming by Train from New York

To get to Yale, take Metro North's red New Haven line from Grand Central Station to New Haven (Union Station or State St.).

There are trains on Saturday morning to New Haven at the following times:

At the New Haven railroad station, take a taxi to 100 Wall Street. The taxi stand is located in front of Union Station. To call a cab back to the train station, call 203-777-7777.


Driving Directions

Interstate 95
From the north: Connect to I-91 North in New Haven; take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street) and follow directions below for I-91. From the south: Connect to I-91 North in New Haven (left exit); take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street) and follow directions below for I-91.

Interstate 91
Take Exit 3 (Trumbull St.) in New Haven. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left at the traffic light onto Orange St. Go two blocks and turn right (at the traffic light) onto Grove St.

Parking

Free Parking is available at Yale Lot 51 on Temple Street. Follow driving instructions from IH-91/95 to Grove St. Turn right onto Grove St., and take it two blocks to Temple St. Turn left on Temple St. and drive one block to Wall St. Almost immediately after passing Wall St. there is a gray Federal-style house on the right with a blue and white sign which reads: “Yale University — 320 Temple Street”. Alongside it is the entrance to Lot 51 (a right turn). If you reach Elm St. you have gone too far.

After parking, walk up Temple St. (against the traffic) and turn left on Wall St. Sudler Hall is in the WLH building is at 100 Wall St. The map with walking directions from the parking lot to the building is available here.
