Weatherization 3-Day Course The weatherization industry is growing leaps and bounds. This course is an entry level course that focuses on the hands on skills needed to repair and fix everyday issues in houses that relates to energy efficiency, comfort, health and safety, etc. Students will learn basic air sealing, insulation techniques, duct repair and sealing, low cost energy retrofit measures, as well as health and safety issues. Students will also be given basic building science behind their hands on skills so that they understand not only the how but the why. PowerPoint presentations will be used to instruct, and provide real examples. Life sized props will be used to provide the students with hands on training to prepare them for the weatherization industry.
Training Provided by Building Performance Engineering a RESNET Accredited HERS Provider and Building Performance Institute Affiliate Organization
Cost is $795.00 and includes both classroom and in-the-field training. Lunch and morning and afternoon snacks are also provided.
