What is Swung?

Swung is the official performance troupe of the University of Georgia Swing Dance Club. The group serves three purposes:

-To practice, choreograph, and perform pieces of swing dancing, including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa (Bal-Swing), East Coast, and West Coast.

-To serve in an outreach capacity for the UGA Swing Club by helping to improve the swing and social dancing community in Athens, Georgia.

-To have fun!

What can Swung do for me?

Swung is available to dance at your next social event/halftime show/dance performance/etc. In addition to performing a number of choreographed pieces, we can also teach swing lessons or DJ a swing dance. Please check the contact page for information on booking the troupe.
